What is the average size of an erect Penis?

I won’t pretend to be a medical expert, all the information I have here is from searching on various other sites over the last few years and word of mouth etc.

According to everything out there I found that the average penis size when erect is somewhere in between 5.5 and 6.5″

The average girth (around) of an erect penis is 4.97 inches.

You’ll find quite a few sites out there that deal with that very subject. Just go to Google, Yahoo or any other search engine and type “average penis size”. So after you know what the average penis size is what then? If you’re bigger than most, I’m sure you’ll still wonder if your girlfriends last boyfriend was bigger, its just the way we are.

From the reading I have been doing and all the sites I have been looking at, seems like there are quite a few risks involved with Penis Enlargement Surgery.

Here are a few:

Complete, permanent erectile dysfunction that is uncorrectable – OK, this seems to be the a big risk, but piercing my penis supposedly had the same risks if they hit a nerve and I did that so….

Complete Permanent Uncorrectable Partial E.D. – Same as above.

Correctable E.D. – 1/1000 is a reasonable figure.

Permanent loss of full or partial sensation – 1/1000 – again a reasonable figure.

Bleeding – during surgery – 1 /2000

Bleeding – after surgery 1/700

Infection – Deep 1/1500, Superficial 1/200

Keloid or large visible scars or pigment problems – African American – less than 3%, Asian less than 3%, Caucasian undetermined

Complete loss of fat transferred – 1/600 (usually able to be replaced).

Incidence of lumps, or uneven appearance of fat – less than 5% – easily correctable.

No gain in length – about 3-4% usually because instructions are not followed properly.

Actual loss of length – less than 1%- again usually because instructions are not followed correctly or some unforeseen circumstances, e.g., bicycle or auto accident, etc. –Once again this doesn’t seem like one of the ones I’d like.

Other factors can play a role in the outcome and satisfaction you feel with the procedure, such as:

Emotional or personality changes and mental difficulties such as excitement or depression can develop even when the operation has been otherwise successful and can adversely affect the outcome.

Additional operations may be necessary to improve things.

So sounds like its really something you have to consider on a 1 to 1 basis. Is it for everyone, NO, but I’m willing to risk it and live with the outcome.

Can you believe it, not only have I found a surgeon, I actually scheduled an appointment to have my Penis Enlarged. WOW!

First of all, those of you that think I’m just jumping into this, well I’m definitely not. I have been considering this for quite some time, probably 6 or more years. I’m only starting this blog just now though, but believe me, I’ve done my research and thought about this for quite some time.

So, I’ve browsed the web, found a couple Dr’s in my area that do this kind of thing, but it didn’t seem like they had enough history. Yes I would like to stay in the area, don’t really want to travel, but I also want a functioning Penis when all is said and done. I guess a little travel isn’t so bad when you think about it like that, after all, what is the point of a bigger Penis, if it doesn’t work?

This is not meant to be an advertisement for any particuliar Dr. but in keeping with the true idea that I have in mind for this blog (open and honest about the entire procedure), I feel it is my duty to provide the name of the DR. and link over to his Web site so you can actually learn more on his site and aren’t just taking my word for it. The Surgeon I have chosen for this procedure is Dr. Giunta of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery International.

First of all I read all of the documentation available on his Web Site, which is quite a bit more than you find on most other sites that deal is this type of procedure, and found some really good information. His web site provides information about the various procedures, questions to ask your self, questions to ask the doctor and provides up front the “risks” involved in this type of surgery.

What I am going to be doing is a combination surgery, having my penis both lengthened and thickened (hopefully). This will involve the cutting of the suspensory ligaments, which will enable more of my penis to extend to the outside of my body as well as Free Fat Transfer where fat from another part of my body will be removed and injected into my penis. Sounds a little frightening and yes I am a little worried, but I either have to stop thinking about having this done, or just go for it, so……

I talked to the office receptionist earlier this morning, it was a little embarrasing, but she was very professional and very helpful in answering my questions. Dr. Guinta was not available at the time, but he did call me back just a couple hours later. Like the receptionist, Dr. Giunta was very helpful, he was straight up with all of my questions and was able to answer all of them without any hesitation. At the end of our conversation when he asked me if I had any other questions, I said “I don’t know, you tell me, should I have any other questions for you?” He immediately responded with “Well you should ask how many procedures I do a week, when was my last procedure, how long have I been doing this…” He once again did not hesitate, he seemed very knowledgeable and definitely wanted to make sure that I knew all there was to know about it and that all of my questions were answered.

After my conversation with Dr. Giunta ended, I immediately called back and scheduled an appointment to come in and have the surgery. What I thought was nice is that they required that you be there the day before and the day after the surgery. The day before, you come in to meet face to face with the Dr. to go over any remaining questions, have an examination and have some blood drawn for a normal screening to ensure your healthy enough to proceed with the surgery. The next day you go back and have the surgery and then once again the next day you go back to make sure everything is OK, then your free to go home. Since I am traveling for this, they had some information about some nearby hotels and I was even able to get a discounted rate at one close by.

Now that its scheduled, I just have to keep up my end of the deal and actually show up.

What questions should you ask potential surgeons if you are contemplating Penis Enlargement Surgery?

So, if you are like me you have no idea what kinds of questions to ask when calling different facilities and talking to different Doctors, then there is always the embarrasing part of a woman answering the phone and you not knowing how to ask about it But thats just something you’ll have to deal with on your own.

A couple good ones to start with:

How Long Have you been in practice?

How many procedures have you done?

When was the last one, how many per week, per month?

Do you do patient surveys and if so, what is the satisfaction rate?

Have they ever had any complications? If so, what were they?

Are you able to speak with former patients?
(If a patient is happy with their Penis Enlargement Surgery, you would think they would be more than open to speaking with someone about the procedure.)

What are all the possible risks of phalloplasty?

These are all questions that you really shouldn’t even have to ask. A good Surgeon should come right out and tell you these things up front.

What kind of research do you need to do prior to getting Penis Enlargement Surgery.

So, I’ve decided that I’m going to have surgery, but what do I know about that? What type of surgery, is there a difference in procedures, is one doctor better than another? All of these things are what I don’t know yet. At this point its off to Google.

In searching through Google for “Penis Enlargement” all I seem to get are adds for Pills, penis pumps, penis extenders etc. Nothing really pops out at me for actual surgery. Thats where you have to break out the actual medical terms when doing a search. Even then you’re going to find a bunch of Dr’s in a search that don’t really do the procedures.

What term seems to work best? Phalloplasty.

PHALLOPLASTY-a penile shaft enhancement procedure which increases the length of the penile shaft.

I still get quite a bit of sites that deal strictly in pills and advertisements, but I do get a few good Surgeon listings as well. Now its just a matter of making the phone calls, reading about the Surgeons, doing more research to see if I can find negative comments about the surgeons etc.
